A big thank-you, for all those who had feel happy for us. And had given their blessings. Now that it's official, we realised just how much people were not included in the guest-list. Some of them could be classified as "important". Pardon us. But the inital 20-30 pax guest list had ballooned to 50, and it's still growing. I had to strike off quite a number of people, even though I had very much wanted them to witness the event. Hubby said since we were going to have a customary wedding, we could hold on for these people till then. Save them one angbao also... Make sense, but did nothing to ease the bad feeling. For all those not included, I'm very sorry. I promise to make it up on the customary dinner. Soom-pa!! ![]() The helium balloon I so wanted as decoration (coz it's part of the propose!!) cost way too much! Just 8 pieces of the "White Love Doves" cost a freaking $120 already. And the confetti balloon cost another freaking $300!!!!! DAYLIGHT ROBBERY AH! Sad sad sad. Look like I've to be contected with just rose petals lining the walk-in. Or maybe look around more.. My colleagues reccomended Bras Basah. Okay, so where exactly is this place in Singapore?

so here, the much awaited propose, that makes everything official. How is it done? ![]() That night, when I went into my room & discovered the balloon's weight was on my table, I dismissed it as I thought the weight might have dropped off after a few days. Then Hubby highlighted it's presence (the weight) to me in a very fake, high-pitch voice.. "Eh, why is the weight here huh? the balloon won't fly away meh?" And so i turned my view to the balloon, hovering in the bag's corner of my room. Thinking it's his idea of joke, i asked him why tie the balloon to my bag(he always ridiculous thing with his itchy hands), at the same time i pulled on the balloon's string... The balloon fly out with ease.. And exposed a ring in the place of the weight. And at that moment, He pop the question. Instead of "Can you marry me?" turn out to be "Canyoumarryme". I was giggling like mad. Although I was waiting for a proposal this V.Day, this had totally caught me off guard. And the feeling is indescribeable. Thus, the announcement: On 17th February, 3 days after 5th Anniversary. . . . . I'm getting married.

Hubby & I had just decided on the catering menu during the weekend.. Make me drool just tot hink of it.. Yum-yum! Wedding bands to be collected on either 17th, or after the Bangkok trip. Chalet will be Costa Sand Pasir Ris, decoration, i had a rough idea in mind already. Just haven't decide on a colour theme. I want to decide on it after i've decided on the color of my gown. =) Photographer was set also, having paid the deposit. The only thing now is the solemniser, David Loh has not get back to me on the fax yet. =( And I needed it tomorrow!!!!! -stressed- Guest lists, the number keep growing.. I'm starting to worry that there will be way too many people than we can handle. What happen to the "simple wedding between close-ones?" Sigh. Everything except the solemnizer-thingy can wait till I'm back from Bangkok. So please, David... RETURN MY FAX!!!! -bite handkerchief-

I'm so happy. Now it seems like all things had fallen into place! The trip to the Suntec bridal fair had also been fruitful. With J&M, we signed up for the ROM package. The winning point being, that, they really hear our needs, and not push what they think we need. Alot of the stalls we visited, ignored out cries for just the ROM package, and shoved the wedding package under our nose. So irritating.. The package cost $388, but for their service, I'd rather pay more! =) The person-in-charge of us is a jie-mei, and a gentle one at that. Very obvious he like Hubby. That's why when we came back to look for them, he was so happy. When Hubby inquired about his jacket, and what are the style available, he exclaimed vey loudly: "Aiyo, you so handsome, even if the shop don't have, I'll hand-do one for you!" Muahahaha... Another wrong kinda tao hua... -__-" The photographer past was set also. We decided to take up Shirley's friend. It cost us $200 for 3hrs of service, and 100 pieces of photographs & album. Good deal! Now is to settle the venue, East Coast Costa Sands. Once booked. Everything settled! =D

![]() ![]() Which is nicer? I was surfing the net for Bridal Shop's packages, when I came across these two gowns. Love it to bits, especially the left picture, light blue lace one. So soft & feminine. Best thing is, it can be worn for other occasion too! =) Might be going to this bridai shop, to see have or not. If not, tailor-made one.. hee...

It's so hard to get him, normally, people place their booking one year in advance! Lucky for us, he has the 4pm slot free on our solemnisation day, which is one hour later then the time we want. But Mum said it's ok, as long as it's within 2-4pm. =) And so, one item down. Now is to give a call to Leung, so settle the venue -- Grand Plaza Parkroyal!

-Choose a good wedding package now, then sign up for it by placing 20% deposit. And get the ROM package FREE! Some offer MTM(made-to-measure) gown too! =) -Grand Plaza Park Royal offer good ROM package, we are trying to get the venue free, condition being that we hold our reception there.. Shouldn't be a problem, as I visited the hotel for my childhood friend's wedding and absolutely love that place! If we really got our way... that would means hundreds of saving!!! Yeah!
GOLDHEART- Love one of the "twisted design", but it cost a bloody $1000+ per piece, jus mine alone is $1299. Sigh, out of the window. Lee Hwa- So far, this seems like the most ideal choice. Their Jon Rainer series looked good(with free ring pillow too!). But the design I liked was only available for machine-cut.. Sad. But I guess, it will remain my first chice.. Meyson- Bad, very limited design, not impressive at all. And for that kinda price(low), I'm having problem believing that it's daimond & white gold we are talking about.. $150+ per piece! Duh. Hubby wanted to check out CitiGems first then decide, hope he choose a nice proposal ring as well!=) Anyway, a pleasant surprise coming in from the mailbox yesterday. UOb is giving an additional 10% discount storewide, hope it can be combine with the existing 20% discount for Jon Rainer series. -finger crossing-

It all started when his buddies went to ballot for a flat, and asking him when to settle down. Upon his answer "not so soon lah" he proceeded to lecture him -then-when-is-the-right-time-to-do-it? talk.. Seems to work though... =) Anyway, he's got all the sequence wrong. For your info, he hasn't propose YET. But he's like asking me on the big plans already.. Gosh, even the date is set! (No thanks to my over-anxious mum =S) I hope that he doesn't think he's spared from it. NO WAY. Anyway, he dragged me to the ROM last Friday (3/2/2006) to book our date, kiasu, coz we've only got ONE PATHETIC auspicious date. Miss that, and we've to wait for nearly a year.. Sigh. Turn out to be a waste trip, as the date is only open 3months in advance. Since the date we wanted was 20th May, we have to be standing by around mid-night on the 19th. So we can grab the date fast, before everybody else.. The consolation is.. We get to check out of the procedures, and what are the stuff we need/expected. Basically, there are two type of brides at thr ROM. One is non-package, one can idntify them from the dresses they wear.. Non-bridal kind. Another, of course, is the package type. Their signature are those bridal gowns, and the groom is in jackets. Look more presentable, but that would means more money.. =( I'm still sourcing around, hoping to find some value-for-money deals. One thing for sure, i want a photographer. Initially had wanted Fiona to pose as the photographer, but after the trip to the ROM, realised how big the difference between a shot from "no-license" photographer, and a pro one. No negotiation. The rest.. Gotta wait.
