I managed to steal some shots of the raw pics, these are before editing. Choosing is sure a chore, for every single one looked so good! So the package deal was definitely not enough, both Grumpy & me both agree that it's a scam. There is no way to just take whatever is included in the package. It's not even enough... The damage? Another $2k.... So damn broke liao!

The waiting part sure was stressing, I am suffering from my month PMS - breaking out! and Grumpy was having a swollen gum, luckily it's on the lower part, so it can be completely conceal when he smiled. Well, that day started chaotic enough. As it's the first day of the F1 Grand Prix event, some of the roads in town was closed, resulting in a mega traffice jam in the tunnel, near the Havelock exit. The heavy rain did not help matter at all. Heavy traffic as stated on the electronic notice board was clearly an understatement. IT'S NOT MOVING AT ALL. Result was we were late for more than half an hour, but clearly, my make-up artist ViVi had predicted this. The timing she had told us was including the "late timing" already. Smart move. The whole process was very enjoyable, both Grumpy & I got into the hang & mood of it pretty quickly. Prompting the cameraman to ask if we were experience poser. When Grumpy said no, he teased: "Hor! So both of you have been secretly training at home to pose is it?!" Such sweet tongue. We were wowed by one after the another style, from the flamboyant and seduction retro, to the all proper pure white gown with Prince, we were more than satisfied. Outdoor shoot was another experience altogether. From the pose to the angle to the venue, it make the studio shot seems like a breeze! Now that everything is done, I have been waiting impatiently to see the picture. -tap, tap, tap- when is 2 weeks going to end?

Last Tues, i was distracted for a whole day, amidst the choas of preparing for start class. I was supposed to see, for the first time, my MTM gown. Worried that it will not be what I had in mind, worried that the lace is too black, worried there's not enough cloth to cover my boobs... in short, worry about everything. It was totally unfounded! It was EXACTLY what i had wanted. So pleased with it. I can wait for the photoshoot day!! The $300 for the french lace was oh-so-worth!!! And the best thing was - the gown was totally hanging off me shapeless! I had lost quite abit of weight, and seeing the gown, which was made from my previous measurement had made me see very very clearly how much i had lost. Everything is so worth it. I feel so good! :) 27th September, i can't wait!!

There are generally three types of gown, simple, dramatic, and out-of-norm. Simple is most commonly asked for. Just some beads & sequins, plain white or off-white satin that show off one's elegance. Dramatic design focuses on details, they are more elaborate, with alot of crystals/beads/floral etc. It may be of other colour beside the white. Out of the norm - like gothic gown, in dark brown, black or grey, usually with very dark make-up & a very drama head piece. As for me, simplicity is simply (pun intended) out of question. Heh. Here's my main gown: It's a very elabourate bustier gown with crystal ALL over, the body, the skirt, even the tail. And it weighs a tonne. As for the rest, I prefer to keep it a secret -wink- I'm very looking forward to see my evening gown, it's made to measure, and it's black lace! I should be able to see it on the next fitting appointment - 27 June 2008.

I have taken the half day leave, and I have chosen the shoes. A terrifying 4-inch golden heels from ALDO, that will take me from the pure white wedding gown, to the glamorous evening gown, complete with diamantes along the arch of my feet. I can feel the pain (of walking) on the actual day already. p/s: hold your breath for the pics!

18th January turn out to be a bad date. The reason why the hotel still have this date available, is because this date is unsuitable for any kind of marriage. It's a day to deal with funeral & moving house & office. Choy! Dai ka lai si! So now, we are focusing on two dates - 25 Apr, 16 May. Another bad news. Calrton will be increasing their price for the wedding dinner come March 2009. Thus, WE will be affected by this increment. Let's just say it's not a small increase... :( But till date, this hotel is still on the top of our list. However we are widening our scope as well. This Saturday, after the Sheraton event, we will be heading to Hotel Rendezvous, to check out their wedding packages. Speaking of the Sheraton event, I'm damn excited. My bridal shop is having a fashion show there this Saturday, and has extended the invitation to us, FOC (usual price is almost $40!) and includes the show, lunch & free wedding talks. But the main thing is, to book my gown if it caught my fancy at the event. Boy, I can't wait!!!
